Outback Laos is located in Aham Village, in the UNESCO World Heritage listed town of Luang Prabang. We offer comfortable, affordable accommodation and excellent food that includes local Lao, Asian and Western style dishes. Our dining area and bar embrace the easy going lifestyle that Luang Prabang and Laos are renowned for, while still providing excellent quality, variety and value to our guests and customers. There are a wide range of natural and cultural attractions available in Luang Prabang, and further away throughout the country. Our staff are always happy to suggest activities and can arrange a variety of tours.

Our guesthouse contains twelve rooms between two buildings. The first is a traditional wooden Lao house with five rooms that also houses the bar and restaurant. The building next door has seven rooms with adjoining access to the restaurant and its own entrance and security. All rooms have their own bathrooms, hot water and are air-conditioned for the comfort of our guests.
At Outback Laos we pride ourselves on the quality of our food and believe that eating well is an important part of enjoying life. Our chefs are professionally trained to create a food experience that will both relax and excite you. We try to source as many ingredients as possible locally to ensure freshness and to support our local farmers and community. Our bar is one of the best stocked in town providing a range of Lao and imported beers, including offerings from our local craft brewery, plus a selection of wine and spirits from around the globe. We also offer takeaway and a delivery service within the Luang Prabang city area
Luang Prabang offers a range of attractions for all interests and desires. Within the city there are temples, the Royal Palace, the botanical gardens, the butterfly park and the morning and night markets. A day spent exploring nature at the Pak Ou caves, Tad Sae and Kuang Si waterfalls or on a Mekong River cruise will open your eyes to the wonders of Northern Laos.
Being part of the community in Luang Prabang is important to us and we encourage our guests to walk around town and experience the markets, shops, bars and restaurants owned and operated by local people.
Throughout Laos there are many interesting and spectacular locations that will give you a better understanding of this wonderful country. Remote villages inhabited by a variety of ethnic groups showcasing their cultural heritage and handicrafts. Ancient heritage listed wonders at the Plain of Jars (Xiengkhouan), That Luang (Vientiane) and Wat Phu (Champassak) Recent historical sites and infrastructure at Long Tien and Sam Neua from the American war that waged from 1954 to 1975 and left millions of unexploded ordinance (UXO) scattered across the country.
